Solid cast brass snap hooks and O-rings will serve for years. They aren’t heavy-weight, yet very reliable and strong. There are 2 stationary and 1 floating O-ring that allow you to vary the modes of the leash for your comfort:
1) Over the Shoulder: Make a loop using the snap hook and the stationary O-ring. Wear it over your shoulder and attach another snap to your dog’s collar.
2) Waist leash: wrap your waist around with this leash and clip the snap to one of the O-rings. Attach another snap hook to your pet’s collar.
3) Shorter leash: fold the leash in half and attach the clip to the O-ring sewn on the other end.
